I am a barrister with over thirty years' experience of child care proceedings, with particular expertise in adoption and fostering matters.
I represent local authorities in all child care and adoption proceedings
My professional background includes a mixture of private practice and employment with local authorities, so I have particular experience of the regulatory and policy framework within which local authorities must work. I am available to give general policy and procedural advice as well as case-specific advice.
I can provide bespoke training for legal or children's services departments.
I am the legal consultant for CoramBAAF. CoramBAAF is a membership organisation and to avoid conflict of interest I cannot accept instructions in matters where a CoramBAAF member is an opposing party. This means that I can usually only accept instructions from local authorities.
I am based in the North-East and London, but am willing to travel to any part of the country.
I am a barrister regulated by the Bar Standards Board
